DODGERS HISTORIAN
Mark Langill shares his story about his time as an undergraduate student at CSU Northridge, provides insight into the role of Los Angeles Dodgers team historian, and gives advice for students to be successful in their field and follow their passion.
SAE RACE CAR
The air is filled with the smell of gas, hot metal, cleaning solution and new rubber tires. Sparks fly, as blocks of metal are molded, ground and cut by Hass Automation machines into: solenoids, shafts, bell cranks, radiator tabs, gears an carbon fiber wheels. In this state-of-the-art California State University, Northridge mechanical engineering classroom, students work tirelessly on the latest model for this year’s Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) race car design project.
SOLAR OBSERVATORY
The university celebrated the opening and dedication of its solar observatory in a ceremony March 15 on campus. More than 100 CSUN leaders, students, faculty members, philanthropists and members of the community gathered to herald the move of the San Fernando Observatory to its new home in the orange grove at the southeast end of campus.
